American Honey

by Andrea Arnold

Star, a teenage girl living on the fringes of society with her half-siblings, meets Jake and decides to join his ragtag band of traveling magazine sellers. She gets caught up in a whirlwind of hard partying, law bending and young love as she criss-crosses the Midwest with this band of misfits.

“Dramatically, I like darkness, I like conflict – but I don’t see the world as defined by them. And why would I pretend to? That’s not who I am.”
